Is Joel Osteen a great preacher or a false prophet?

There seems to be a little debate about this. What do you think? Is Joel Osteen a great preacher or a false prophet?
He's a SHAM and a SCAM!Is Joel Osteen a great preacher or a false prophet?
From a Christian perspective. It’s hard not to like Joel Osteen. His easy going style, smooth words and positive message are just what people are looking for today. It’s easy to understand why Osteen’s Lakewood church is one of the fastest growing church’s in America. Osteen is the complete antithesis of the typical TV preacher.

He eschews the flamboyant for the understated. Fiery rhetoric is replaced with a kind of quiet professionalism. Broad displays of showmanship are exchanged for a sort of down home “aw shucks” type of demeanor. And in an effort to keep the people coming, the gospel of sin, righteousness, and judgment is supplanted by a Christ-less gospel that is no gospel at all.

Like most apostate preachers Osteen quotes only a portion of scripture, leaving off the part that doesn’t fit his positive, feel-good message. Joel Osteen likes to end each service by extending an invitation for the audience to receive Jesus as Lord and savior. My question for him is saved from what? Why do I need a savior? You just spent 40 minutes telling me that God loves me and has a wonderful plan for my life.

He never tells people that they have sinned against a holy God. He never explains that we have fallen short of God’s righteousness. He never tells people that the penalty for their sin is everlasting torment. He never says that we cannot get right with God by my own efforts. He doesn't tell people that Jesus paid the penalty for their sin on the cross. He doesn't explain that Jesus died, was buried and rose again for his audience. He doesn't tell them that their only hope in life is to trust in, rely on, and commit to His death, burial, and resurrection.

Joel Osteen only tells part of the story. He tells only the parts that people want to hear, not what they need to hear. He makes people feel good about themselves and secure in their sins. Is Joel Osteen a great preacher? No. Is he a false prophet? He isn't a prophet but he is a false preacher. The man cannot be trusted with teaching the whole Word of God. One thing that he is good at, and that's making merchandise of you. Any church that has a built-in book and trinket store where you can purchase all of these fineries and help to line his pockets with more money than he knows what to do with, is tantamount to spitting in God's face.
He is a pretty good preacher with an emphasis on positive thinking rather than the Bible. More preachers need to put an emphasis on the message of being saved by Christ Jesus. He is a very good person with a great attitude and a lot of confidence from God, I will admit. I pray that God blesses you with peace.
Osteen isn't a preacher, he's a motivational speaker who sprinkles a little Jesus on top of his messages. Any secular therapist could say what he says to people. People love him because he spoonfeeds them what they want to hear.
Osteen would be the first to tell you he didn't make it out of the seminary...

I haven't heard any false prophecies uttered by him ever
He is a man who enjoys the spotlight. He may be a nice guy, but people focus on him too much as an idol, instead of worshiping God on their own.
He's a great salesman.
Great Preacher.
fools follow fools
His message is all about love and peace, what else could be a better message. False? it comes right from the Book.
Hes both,.
