How does the bible define the false prophet from the real prophet of God?

Because I say so. That's pretty much it. Just that arbitrary. If I were to wake tomorrow and say that God came to me said that Buddhism actually sounds like a better way to live, people would think I've lost it. But they will follow whole-heartily a book written hundreds of years ago without question. How does the bible define the false prophet from the real prophet of God?
There are two types of ';false prophet'; recognized in the Jewish Bible: the one who claims to be a prophet in the name of idolatry, and the one who claims to be a prophet in the name of the God of Israel, but declares that any word or commandment (Mitzvah) which God has said no longer applies, or makes false statements in the name of God.

Which is, essentially a Jewish viewpoint- Technically it is any ';prophet'; who makes predictions-that don't come about. How does the bible define the false prophet from the real prophet of God?
Here is an excellent test and a remedy to get rid of false prophets.

Notice it says from among your own brothers. So it could not have been a warrior prophet riding a camel.
Remember this, just because a person prophesies about something and it does comes true; it does not necessarily mean they are speaking what God wants.

Deut. 13:1-4(KJV) - 1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, 2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; 3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. 4 Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.

(The pronounce of a true prophet promote true worship and are in harmony with God's will.)

Also, just because a person or a group has given a wrong date, but not in God's name or saying God told them, it doesn't mean they are a false prophet. Where the wrong? Yes. Was it a sin? Of course. But were they humble enough to acknowledge the wrong and change? There heart condition would show a lot as to what type of persons they are. Just like many faithful men and women in the Bible who committed many sins, these faithful ones acknowledged they wrong, repented and turned around from there wrong course and God forgave them.

Now if a person or group prophesies in God's name or says God has told them something. Or they prophesy in the name of Jesus, but what they speak goes against what's in God's Word then they are a False Prophet.

Deut. 18:18-20 (Sacred Name King James Version) - 20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. 21 And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which YHVH hath not spoken? 22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of YHVH, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which YHVH hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.

Matt. 7:20-23 (KJV) - 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Did you notice Jesus said you will recognize true servants of God by there fruits(works) and by their doing the will of the Father?
1) They preach that Jesus was not raised from the dead

2) They do not accept Jesus as Lord

3) They teach slavery to human traditions regarding food, drink and Holy days

4) They preach a Gospel different to that preached by Jesus and His apostles

5) They will be able to perform signs and wonders in order to try and deceive Christians

6) The preach the worship of angels and other created things

7) They teach hatred rather than love

8) They teach vengeance rather than forgiveness

9) They teach condemnation rather than mercy

10) They persecute and attempt to control all who do not submit to them
Read Matthew 7:15-20.

You know them by their fruits.
If it comes true it is from God and is Gods will.
False prophets are NOT from God, real prophets are. But how do we distinguish? You have look at their fruit.
Lies and trickery.
It doesn麓t
With rhyme.
