There are so many prophecies which are fulfilled in the life of Jesus Christ that it is difficult to fathom how extraordinary their fulfillment is. To help conceptualize the remoteness of the probability that one man could fulfill the prophecies fulfilled in Jesus Christ, Dr. Peter Stoner, a renowned professor of mathematics, calculated the probability to be 1 in 10 to the 17th power that a person would fulfill 8 of the prophecies which were fulfilled in the life of Jesus Christ. To better understand 1 in 10 to the 17th power, imagine that the state of Texas was covered with 1,000,000,000,000,000 silver dollars — this would bury the entire state of Texas 2 feet deep in silver dollars. Now assume that an “x” is placed upon one silver dollar and that it is mixed together with all the other silver dollars covering the state of Texas. The probability that one man would fulfill just eight of the prophecies which were fulfilled in the life of Jesus Christ is equal to the probability that a blindfolded man would randomly select the silver dollar marked with the “x” from the two foot thick mass of silver dollars covering the state of Texas. As if that isn’t impossible enough, Jesus fulfilled more than 300 Old Testament prophecies, not just 8. Fulfilling prophecy, wise men sought Jesus at His birth. Some things do not change. Wise men and women still seek Him today. Also:You may want to check out Lee Strobel's novel ';A Case for Christ.'; There is so much proof out there it is unreal. And never forget the best selling book of all time that has led many people to know christ as their personal savior The HOLY Bible. and if you really dont belive me, look in the Old testament.Check this out. If you take a look in the hebrew old testemant in Genisis chapter five-you will find what seems to be an ordinary unremarkable geneology. However, if you take the time to translate the names of the people listed, you will make an amazing discovery. Note: This book was written thousands of years before Jesus was born. The Jewish religion as a whole follows the old testament but disclaim Jesus' Christs divinity and even go as far as to say that he did not even exist. So why would Jews write this in afterwards- to prove that someone they didnt believe in actually was who they denied he was?

From Matthew 7
';15';Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
21';Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'';
It is by fruits that have come about as a result of Jesus' ministry that we know that He is truly the Messiah. Look at how far and wide Christianity has reached today and all the good works that have been done by people in his name.Christians: do any of you have a good argument that Jesus was *not* a false prophet?
I would say that since he did miracles in the name of God that helped people then he would not be a false prophet. If he was a false prophet he wouldn't be able to perform miracles.
(I understand that this assumes the bible is telling the truth, which for the record I am assuming)
Now, what it does not prove of course is whether or not Jesus was the last prophet or the son of God, but I feel quite comfortable proclaiming a true prophet. (and son of god since I'm a christian)
Now wait a second angry athiest up there! There is a lot of literary evidence that Jesus existed especially from non-christian sources. There was a man by the name of Jeshua (in greek: Jesus) who had a group of followers around 30AD. Everything after that is, I'll admit, up for grabs. But there was a Jesus.
How would one judge a ';false prophet'; in these days, shall we say.
He would be dishonest
He would probably be making a lot of money
He would be condemning others
He would not try to heal others, but he may pretend to.
He would not act in a loving way, although he may tell others that they should.
etc. etc
Jesus was a loving, kind, compassionate, financially poor, entity. He loved animals and was kind to them.
He loved people and tried in every way he could not only to help them, but teach them how to be a loving person.
There was nothing false about him.
I do not belong to an organized religion, but I do follow the teachings of Jesus as I make choices in my life.
If we could live our lives according to the true prophets of this world, we would not be in the mess we are in now.
Well, if the Christianity we see these days is the test, then he was a false prophet. More on my bio.
But fortunately, we have that Sermon on the Mount... and I think that sermon speaks for itself.
I think if Christians had held to that Sermon, rather than picking up on Paul's blood sacrifice gospel, you would not have had to ask this question.
He was a big fibber. Need proof?:
And Jesus answered and said to them, ';Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, `Be taken up and cast into the sea,' it will happen. ';And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.'; (Matthew 21:21-22)
Amen, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it shall be done for him. Therefore I tell you, all that you ask for in prayer, believe that you will receive it and it shall be yours. (Mark 11:24-25)
And whatever you ask in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything of me in my name, I will do it. (John 14:13-14)
If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you. (John 15:7)
It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit that will remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name he may give you. (John 15:16)
On that day you will not question me about anything. Amen, amen, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you. Until now you have not asked anything in my name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete. (John 16:23-24)
These are all obvious bald-faced lies that Jesus told..
Any dude 2000 years ago could have used mis direction to turn water into wine and have people believe it
i doubt Jesus was genuine
Yeah - He rose from the grave in three days, just like He said He would. If THAT don't cut it, then NOTHING will. No evidence in the world will EVER be enough for the person who refuses to accept it.
All prophets are false. Predicting the future is false.
Everything he said would happen did happen. This makes him a true prophet.
Aside from the bible stories, there's hardly any account of the alleged most important person in history. sound weird?
Yes, there's the Biblical record.
The bible say he wasn't, so using the universal laws for catch-22; it's a fact.
Yes.
He wasn't a false prophet.
Nuff said.
Yes. John 3:3. I am. Thats all the proof I need.
