Paul said his generation would rise into the air and meet Jesus, how can I pretend he's not a false prophet?

1 Thessalonians 14-17

Paul said his generation would rise into the air and meet Jesus, how can I pretend he's not a false prophet?
I suggest you study preterism. Full Preterists believe all prophecy was fulfilled with the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D., including the resurrection of the dead and Jesus' Second Coming.

2 Timothy 2:15

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Paul said his generation would rise into the air and meet Jesus, how can I pretend he's not a false prophet?
2 Peter 3:14-16

Consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation鈥攁s also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.
He didnt say his generation. He was referring to the church, the body of believers in Christ. Since know one knows the day nor the hour but the Father, they preached that Jesus could return at the rapture at any time.
you have forgotten the chapter here...need complete reference... there is no 14th chapter...if youre talking about the 4th chapter....knowing when we raise up is not as important as knowing why he wrote this-to encourage one another when loved ones die.. This passage is comfort when any believer dies... i recommend a good footnote Bible..

In context, ';we who remain alive'; could also be referring to the body of believers who remain alive at the second coming of Christ.
When Paul wrote the word ';we,'; he CLEARLY meant Christians who are alive at the time. You're twisting his words.

EDIT: Heh heh heh ... good one, Schneb. I just love you! ; )
